Background
Mulan is the only child of a middle-high class pure-blood family of Chinese descent. While not necessarily as strict about Mulan’s behaviours as in canon, due to the era differences, they still wish she was more graceful and demure. She still manages to bring a certain degree of misery to her family and herself when she accidentally humiliates her family, either by ideas of hers for several things backfiring in ways she never thought they would, or due to acting or saying things that are not tolerated within her family or their social circle.

When it was time for her to go a school, they considered sending her off to China, figuring that an environment where she’d be immersed in a culture would help her become more like they wanted her to be. However, in the end, Hogwart’s reputation, and her pleas to her father and grandmother, won over, and she was sent to Hogwarts. The second she stepped foot on the Hogwarts express, she vowed to do her best to become a daughter that their parents could be proud of. Overall, she could be doing worse. Her parents are generally pleased with her performance, especially with Defence Against The Dark Arts, considering she was a rather mediocre student at that area when she first got started. She did show a certain affinity with flying, and even tried out for the Quidditch team, always falling short of entering.

Relationships
Alfred F. Jones ([info]redwhiteandhero)- An older Gryffindor she's known since she got to the school. Mulan likes him. She finds him nice, and energetic, never boring to be around with.

Shin Sawada ([info]akaj1sh1)- Another older Gryffindor. Nice, and polite... Overall, pretty good company.

Ryohei Sasagawa ([info]kyokugensun)- She's known him ever since they both began attending Hogwarts. Talk about loud. His energy puts Alfred to shame, as far as she's concerned. Still, while he can get a bit overwhelming, he's a good person.
